The 2009 Isotopes offense got a whole lot better today when they came to an agreement with Down River Wiffle Ball League slugger Carl Coffee for Wiffle Fest. Coffee is a right-handed power hitter who can hit to all fields and doesn't strike out much. Although new to the Isotopes, Carl has been playing competitively for years, and ads a calm demeanor to what has been a notoriously feisty lineup.

Coffee replaces last year's rookie, Alison Wilmouth, the only female player to have played the tournament, which is in its fifth year.
